Dermal fillers are a minimally invasive, non-surgical option for patients looking for a refresh. Dermal fillers are a gel like substance that can be used to create harmonious facial contours, restore volume loss or soften fine lines. They are often used to replace lost cheek volume, provide the appearance of a more defined jawline, soften nasolabial folds (smile lines), reduce marionette lines, or restore deflated or uneven lips.

At Jojo Aesthetics and Wellness, we will always tailor your treatment around your goals, which is why a free 1:1 consultation is required for new patients receiving dermal fillers. We value your time and want to ensure that you feel informed, comfortable, and confident in your decisions.

At the time of your treatment, your face will be cleansed, and numbing will be applied where needed. Most fillers have lidocaine in them to provide additional comfort. You may feel pinching or light pressure where injected, but most people find this rather tolerable. Small amounts of filler are placed in targeted areas to achieve your aesthetic goal.

The treatment can take anywhere for 15-45 minutes, depending on the areas to be treated.

RECOVERY

You’ll receive aftercare instructions before you leave. Most people return to their typical activities the same day.

RESULTS

Results are visible right away, though mild swelling, redness, and some bruising are common and temporary. You’ll want to give it 2-4 weeks before assessing the final result, in order to give the dermal filler time to blend with the surrounding tissues and for potential swelling to subside. Optimal results can last anywhere from 6-18 months, depending on the filler used and the area treated. If you like your results, a touch up can be done every year to two years to keep you feeling fabulous.
